Responsibilities of Members of the Labor Accident Investigation Team in the Ministry of National Defense

Circular 01/2017/TT-BQP has been issued by the Ministry of National Defense stipulating the declaration, investigation, statistics, and reporting of occupational accidents within the Ministry of National Defense. This is the first Circular that specifies detailed regulations on this matter.

According to the new regulations, the duties of members of the labor accident investigation team of the Ministry of National Defense are stipulated as follows:

1. For the Head of the Investigation Team:

- Decide to proceed with the investigation immediately, even in the case of the absence of one of the investigation team members;- Assign specific tasks to each member of the investigation team;- Organize discussions on the results of the labor accident investigation; decide and take responsibility for his/her decisions on the labor accident investigation results;- Organize and preside over the meeting to announce the labor accident investigation minutes.

2. For the members of the Investigation Team:

- Perform tasks assigned by the team leader and participate in the general activities of the labor accident investigation team;- Have the right to present and reserve opinions; in cases of disagreement with the decision of the Head of the Labor Accident Investigation Team, report to the direct management authority;- Do not disclose information or documents during the investigation process until the labor accident investigation minutes are announced.
