Enterprises organizing horse racing activities for betting business must meet the following facility requirements:

Track dimensions

- Straight track must be at least 1,000m in length; at least 16m in width; with a straight section after the finish line that is at least 200m long.- Closed track must be at least 1,500m in length; at least 16m in width; must have a straight section before merging with the curved section that is at least 300m long; the radius of the curved section must be at least 135m.

Track surface must be covered with sand or grass ensuring:

- If covered with sand, the sand layer must be at least 0.2m thick; sand grains must be between 0.1mm to 3mm in diameter; free of glass, sharp objects;- If covered with grass, the type of grass must be bermuda grass or ginger grass.

Protective fences on both sides of the track must be at least 0.8m high. The distance from the protective fence to the spectators must be at least 10m.
Starting area

- The starting area on the straight track must be at least 60m in length; at least 30m in width.- Starting stalls must be made of hard materials; have a height of at least 3.8m; width of at least 0.82m; length of at least 1.95m; automated starting gates.
