Requirements for the Facilities of Enterprises Organizing Greyhound Racing

Enterprises organizing dog racing activities for betting businesses must meet the following requirements regarding facilities:

1. The dog track must be either a closed loop or a straight track with a minimum length of 300m and a minimum width of 06m.

2. The track surface must be covered with sand or grass to ensure:

- The track surface is free of sharp objects or any other items that could injure the racing dogs;- For tracks covered with sand, the sand layer must be at least 0.15m thick, the sand grains must have a maximum diameter of 0.3mm, and must be cohesive;- For grass-covered tracks, the grass type used must be Bermuda.

3. Protective barriers for the track must be made of metal, including an outer barrier with a minimum height of 01m and an inner barrier with a minimum height of 0.4m. The distance from the outer barrier to the spectators must be at least 01m.

4. Preparation area

- The dog weighing area must be reasonably located near the starting area, with an electronic scale for weighing the dogs.- Each dog kennel can only house one dog; it must have a minimum length of 1.2m, a minimum width of 0.6m, and a minimum height of 0.8m.

5. Starting area

- The starting area must be at least 08m wide.- The starting cage must have at least 06 compartments; each compartment must be at least 01m long, 0.25m wide, and 01m high. The starting cage must have an automatic door opening system.
