Requirements for Recruitment in Military Schools

Circular 17/2016/TT-BQP issued by the Ministry of National Defense on March 11, 2016, specifically enumerates the requirements for the recruitment work of schools within the military.

Accordingly, Circular 17 stipulates that when conducting admissions, military schools must comply with the following requirements:

- Strictly adhere to the Law on Education, the admissions regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, and the regulations of the Ministry of National Defense; ensure fairness, publicity, objectivity, transparency, and accuracy in the admissions process.- Recruit the required number of students to ensure the training of human resources associated with talent discovery and the planning of specialized technical staff. Training must be tied to the intended place of employment, ensuring regional, sectoral, and professional structure appropriate to the level of training, with focus on nominating candidates from policy beneficiary groups, remote areas, and regions with particularly difficult economic and social conditions as defined by the State.- Effectively implement the decentralization for schools to self-manage and operate the military admissions process; schools directly conduct career orientation communication, receive application dossiers, and organize the selection process for regular university and college enrollment for military sectors.- For schools that organize entrance exams, the exam site must be determined, and the exam administration, grading, and result announcement must be carried out according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of National Defense.- Schools are only allowed to publish the list of admitted candidates and summon admitted candidates to begin studies after the Military Admissions Committee of the Ministry of National Defense approves the admissions scores.
