Requirements for Ministerial-Level Scientific and Technological Research Projects

On October 12, 2016, the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs issued Circular 01/2016/TT-UBDT stipulating the management of scientific and technological tasks at the Department level of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs.

Circular 01/2016/TT-UBDT stipulates that ministerial-level science and technology projects must meet the following requirements:

- For research and development projects: The technology or science and technology product must be urgent, new, have a specific application address, or be capable of commercialization; there must be at least one article published in a domestic specialized scientific journal;- For projects in the field of social sciences and humanities: must be urgent, new; the results must create scientific evidence and prompt solutions to address practical issues in the formulation and implementation of the Communist Party's guidelines and policies, economic and social development policies, and state laws; there must be at least one article published in a domestic specialized scientific journal;- The implementation period shall not exceed 36 months from the date of contract signing.
