The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism recently issued Circular 10/2017/TT-BVHTTDL regulating the infrastructure, equipment, and training of specialized staff for the sport of Taekwondo.

According to Circular 10, to ensure safety and fairness in Taekwondo competitions, the facilities and equipment must meet the following requirements:

- Lighting must be at least 200 lux.- Have a first-aid kit as prescribed by the Ministry of Health.- Have a changing area, storage place, and restroom.- The competition floor must be flat, covered with elastic mats, with a mat size of 10m x 10m.- Competition uniforms, hand, foot, knee, groin protectors, and mouthguards: 1 set per martial artist.- Taekwondo competition chest and head guards: 3 sets per area.- Scoreboards and body weight scales for martial artists.
