This is a notable content of the Decree No. 131/2020/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government providing for clinical pharmacology organization and activities in healthcare establishments, issued on November 02, 2020.
According to Decree No. 131/2020/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, clinical pharmacology supervisors working at healthcare establishments must meet the requirements stated in Article 21 of the Law on Pharmacy of Vietnam and hold a pharmacy practice certificate according to regulations in Clause 3 Article 11 of the Law on Pharmacy of Vietnam. Specifically, according to Article 21 of the Law on Pharmacy of Vietnam:
1. The person in charge of clinical pharmacology of health facility must have any of the qualifications specified in Point a Clause 1 Article 13 hereof and at least 02 years’ apprenticeship at a suitable pharmacy establishment or a hospital or institute having providing inpatient treatment, except for the case in Clause 2 of this Article.
2. The person in charge of clinical pharmacology of health facility applying traditional medicine must have any of the qualifications specified in Point c Clause 1 Article 13 hereof and at least 02 years’ apprenticeship at a suitable pharmacy establishment or a hospital or institute having provided inpatient treatment that apply traditional medicine.
Moreover, clinical pharmacology supervisors working at traditional medicine establishments shall serve their apprenticeships at hospitals and institutes having hospital beds, practicing traditional medicine and having clinical pharmacology units and activities in compliance with regulations in this Decree or regulations of law taking effect before January 01, 2021.
