The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has just issued Circular 10/2018/TT-BNNPTNT on August 14, 2018, specifying the requirements for chemicals used in veterinary medicine.
To be specific, when using chemicals in veterinary medicine, the following requirements must be noted:
Permissible Limit Requirements
- Regarding volume:
- For chemicals used in veterinary medicine packaged in bottles of less than 100ml: the permissible volume deviation limit is + 10% compared to the volume stated on the label.- For chemicals used in veterinary medicine packaged in bottles larger than 100ml and equal to 1000ml: the permissible volume deviation limit is + 5% compared to the volume stated on the label.- For chemicals used in veterinary medicine packaged in bottles larger than 1000ml: the permissible volume deviation limit is + 3% compared to the volume stated on the label.
- Regarding weight:
- For chemicals used in veterinary medicine packaged in units larger than 100 g and equal to 1000 g: the permissible weight deviation limit is ± 5% compared to the weight stated on the label.- For chemicals used in veterinary medicine packaged in units larger than 1000 g: the permissible weight deviation limit is ± 3% compared to the weight stated on the label.
Active Ingredient Content Requirements
- Qualitative: contains the registered active ingredient stated on the product label.- Quantitative: the active ingredient content of the product is within the range of 90% to 110% compared to the content stated on the product label.
