Reporting Regime on Environmental Protection in Construction

According to the new regulations, production facilities in the Construction industry, Departments of Construction in provinces and centrally-run cities, project management consultancy contractors, and construction supervision contractors are responsible for reporting on environmental protection activities. To be specific:

Production Facilities in the Construction Industry:

- Prepare a written environmental protection activity report on a yearly basis and submit it to the Department of Construction before December 31 each year.- Update and store information and data of the environmental protection activity report on the online management software for the Construction industry’s environmental database at the website: http://dulieumoitruong.xaydung.gov.vn/.

Departments of Construction in Provinces and Centrally-Run Cities:

- Prepare a written environmental protection activity report on a yearly basis and submit it to the Ministry of Construction before January 15 of the following year.- Update and store information and data of the environmental protection activity report on the online management software for the Construction industry’s environmental database at the website: http://dulieumoitruong.xaydung.gov.vn/.

Project Management Consultancy Contractors and Construction Supervision Contractors:

- Promptly report to the project owner and relevant contractors about any risks or issues arising that could affect environmental protection activities during the construction process to implement appropriate preventive and remedial measures.- Periodically or unexpectedly report to the project owner on environmental protection activities in the construction of works by contractors on site according to the terms and conditions of the construction consultancy contract.

Circular 02/2018/TT-BXD is effective from April 01, 2018.
