Report on Energy consumption in Vietnam must be submitted before January 15 annually (Illustrative Image)

As stipulated in Article 5 of Circular 25/2020/TT-BCT, before January 15 of year N, energy-use establishments specified under points a, b, clause 1, Article 4 are responsible for submitting a report to the Local Department of Industry and Trade in Vietnam on the energy consumption situation in year N-1 according to the contents specified in Form 1.1, Appendix I issued with this Circular on the website http://dataenergy.vn.

The annual energy usage reporting of the energy-use establishment is carried out according to the following sequence and procedures:

- The energy-use establishment accesses the website http://dataenrgy.vn, inputs data according to the steps and instructions provided on the website, and submits the report to the Department of Industry and Trade in Vietnam;- Upon receiving the report, the Department of Industry and Trade in Vietnam verifies the data before officially responding on the website http://dataenergy.vn to the energy-use establishment within 05 working days;- If the energy-use establishment receives comments from the Department of Industry and Trade in Vietnam requesting supplements or adjustments, it must complete and perfect the energy usage report on the website within 05 working days;

After January 15 of year N, if the energy-use establishments specified under points a, b, clause 1, Article 4 do not submit a report to the Department of Industry and Trade in Vietnam, the Department of Industry and Trade in Vietnam will proceed with:

- Sending an official letter to the energy-use establishment requesting the submission of the energy usage report to the Department of Industry and Trade in Vietnam within 05 working days;

- Sending an official letter to the relevant Departments managing industry sectors (Department of Transport; Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Department of Construction) requesting cooperation and provision of energy consumption data of the energy-use establishment under their management within 05 working days;

- Sending an official letter to the General Electricity Corporation, Provincial Electricity Companies, and City Electricity Companies in the locality requesting the provision of electricity consumption data of the energy-use establishment within 05 working days.
