Regulations on Uniform Duration of Militia Forces

The Ministry of National Defense has just issued Circular 04/2015/TT-BQP regulating the management and use of militia and self-defense force uniforms.

1. Duration of Uniform Usage

- Winter uniform usage is from November 1 of the previous year to March 31 of the following year.- Summer uniform usage is from April 1 to October 31 of the same year.- The transitional period is calculated to be 15 days before and after the winter and summer periods as mentioned above.- For provinces from Da Nang onwards (excluding the Central Highlands provinces), summer uniforms are used throughout the year.

2. Seasonal uniforms are prescribed as follows:

- Winter Uniform- Self-defense Militia Officers: Hard hat or soft hat with self-defense militia star; winter clothing, tie, warm jacket, socks, black leather shoes or canvas shoes;- Self-defense Militia Soldiers: Hard hat or soft hat with self-defense militia star; soldier's pants and shirt, warm jacket, socks, canvas shoes.- Summer Uniform- Self-defense Militia Officers: Hard hat or soft hat with self-defense militia star; summer clothing, socks, black leather shoes or canvas shoes;- Self-defense Militia Soldiers: Hard hat or soft hat with self-defense militia star; soldier's pants and shirt; socks, canvas shoes.
