Regulations on Training and Competition Facilities for Yoga

On November 08, 2016, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Circular 11/2016/TT-BVHTTDL regulating the professional conditions for organizing Yoga training and competitions.

The training and competition facilities for Yoga must meet the following requirements:

  1. The training floor must be flat and non-slippery.
  2. The distance from the training floor to the ceiling must not be less than 2.7m.
  3. The training space must be airy, with lighting of 150 lux or higher.
  4. There must be areas for sanitation, changing rooms, places for personal belongings, a medicine cabinet, and first aid equipment.
  5. There must be a regulation board specifying the following key contents: Training hours, the participants, those who are not allowed to participate, appropriate attire for training, safety measures during training, and other regulations.
  6. The organization of outdoor Yoga training and competition must comply with the provisions in items 1, 3, 4, 5 above.

Refer to the related regulations in Circular 11/2016/TT-BVHTTDL effective from January 1, 2017.
