On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam issued Circular No. 45/2018/TT-BLDTBXH regulating the minimum knowledge requirements and capacity standards that learners must achieve upon graduating from intermediate and college levels in the fields of architectural technology, construction works, mechanics, electricity, electronics, telecommunications, and chemistry.
Circular No. 45/2018/TT-BLDTBXH of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam provides regulations on the minimum knowledge requirements for the college-level and intermediate-level architectural technology profession. To be specific:
1. For the college-level:
- Being able to demonstrate basic knowledge of 5S in the field of the profession.
- Being able to demonstrate basic knowledge of ecology, ecosystems, environmental pollution, environmental protection, and green construction.
- Being able to identify different types of materials and stay updated on new materials.
- Being able to present regulations and design processes.
- Being able to present architectural design principles, urban planning, interior and exterior design.
- Being able to present methods of artistic creation, visual representation, models, etc., for architectural projects.
- Being able to present the process of inspecting and supervising the construction, completion, and installation of interior elements according to the design drawings.
- Presenting architectural design options, interior design, and providing advice on interior products.
- Being able to present basic knowledge of politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, and physical education as required.
Note: The minimum knowledge requirement is 1,980 hours (equivalent to 78 credits).
2. For the intermediate-level:
- Being able to present basic content about 5S in the field of the profession.
- Being able to present regulations regarding construction design drawings and methods of reading design drawings.
- Being able to describe the concepts of ecology, ecosystems, environmental pollution, environmental protection, and green construction.
- Being able to present and explain concepts and standards in technical drawings.
- Being able to recognize different types of construction materials.
- Being able to present architectural design principles, urban planning, interior and exterior design.
- Being able to present the process of inspecting and supervising the construction, completion, and installation of interior elements according to the design drawings.
- Being able to present architectural design options, interior design, and provide advice on interior products.
- Being able to present basic knowledge of politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, and physical education as required.
Note: The minimum knowledge requirement is 1,400 hours (equivalent to 57 credits).
