Regulations on the Coordination Mechanism Among State Agencies on Labor at the Central Level

The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs recently issued Circular 20/2018/TT-BLDTBXH guiding the coordination mechanism in the implementation of specialized inspections of labor, safety, and labor hygiene inspections during the night and outside of regular working hours.

According to Circular 20, the coordination between the state labor management agency and relevant central agencies is implemented as follows:

- When a violation of the rights of employees or a failure to ensure labor safety and hygiene at the workplace occurs, which, if prolonged, may affect the rights or endanger the lives of many employees, the Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs must notify the relevant central agencies.- The notified agency shall assign officers to join the inspection team and coordinate in resolving the case.- The Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs shall issue the Inspection Decision according to their authority. If necessary, the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs shall issue the Inspection Decision.
