Regulations on Social Insurance, Health Insurance, Unemployment Insurance for Military Sports Coaches and Athletes

Here is the prominent content stipulated in Circular No. 138/2016/TT-BQP providing guidance on the implementation of certain policies for military sports coaches and athletes who are focused on training and competition.

Coaches and athletes who are not subject to compulsory social insurance (BHXH), health insurance (BHYT), and unemployment insurance (BHTN) during the period convened by the competent authority for training and competition, if they fall ill or have an accident and must take leave from training, competition or die, will be handled by the employing agency as follows:

- Coaches and athletes who fall ill or undergo family planning measures will be reimbursed for all medical examination and treatment costs and will receive an allowance equal to 75% of the statutory pay rate specified in Clause 1, Article 4 of Circular 138/2016/TT-BQP.- Coaches and athletes who suffer accidents during centralized training and competition will be reimbursed for all medical costs from first aid, emergency treatment to stabilization of the injury and will receive an allowance equal to 100% of the statutory pay rate specified in Clause 1, Article 4 of Circular 138/2016/TT-BQP.- Coaches and athletes who die during centralized training and competition, the person responsible for funeral arrangements will receive a funeral allowance equivalent to 10 months of the statutory pay rate.- In the case of coaches and athletes who die due to an accident during centralized training and competition or die during the initial treatment due to an accident during centralized training and competition, in addition to the funeral allowance, their relatives will receive a one-time allowance equivalent to 36 months of the statutory pay rate.
