the Government of Vietnam has just issued Decree 152/2017/ND-CP on regulations for standards and norms on the use of office headquarters and operational facilities.
Decree 152 stipulates that common use area is the area used to serve common activities in the working headquarters of agencies and organizations; including:
- Meeting rooms (including auditoriums with less than 100 seats); guest rooms; international guest reception rooms; tradition rooms;- Standing guard rooms, security rooms; medical rooms; dining rooms, canteens; libraries;- Ordinary document and record archives; equipment rooms, office supply rooms; document reproduction rooms;- Telephone switchboard rooms; typing - administrative - management rooms;- Area of main halls, auxiliary halls, corridors, balconies;- Scrap paper and waste collection rooms; restrooms; area for cleaning equipment storage;- Working buildings of car teams and other necessary areas not belonging to the working area of titles, specialized areas as stipulated in Article 5, Article 7 of Decree 152/2017/ND-CP.
Common use area does not include the area occupied by columns, walls, technical boxes, staircases, parking areas; these areas comply with Vietnamese construction standards.
The common use area in the working headquarters of the agency or organization is calculated as follows:
- Maximum 50% of the total working area of the titles;- Maximum 70% of the total working area of titles working at the headquarters of state agencies at the commune level.
