Regulations on Reissuance of Press Cards

In 2016, Circular 49/2016/TT-BTTTT was signed and promulgated by the Ministry of Information and Communications, detailing the regulations and providing guidance on the dossier, procedures for issuance, renewal, reissuance, and revocation of press cards.

Reissuance of press cards is regulated by Circular 49/2016/TT-BTTTT as follows:

- Individuals who have been issued a press card but lose or damage it and wish to have it reissued must submit an application to the Ministry of Information and Communications.- The application for reissuance of the press card must include confirmation from the press agency, the working unit, and a loss report with confirmation from the commune-level town, ward, commune police where the card was lost; in case of a damaged card, the old card must be attached.- Within 30 days from the date of receipt of a valid dossier, the Ministry of Information and Communications shall consider reissuing the press card.
