Recently, the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam issued Circular 117/2009/TT-BQP on regulations for intermediate professional levels in military sectors.
Regulations on Graduation Classification for Intermediate Professional Levels in Military Sector in Vietnam (illustrative image)
Conditions for graduation recognition of intermediate professional education in the military sector in Vietnam according to Circular 117/2009/TT-BQP are as follows:
First, the graduation classification score in Vietnam is the average of the overall average score for the entire course and the average score of the graduation exam subjects. The graduation classification score is rounded to one decimal place.
Second, the graduation classification is implemented as follows:

Third, students in Vietnam who are classified from fair or higher will be downgraded by one level if they violate one of the following cases:
- The total number of study units of the subjects that have to be retaken exceeds 10% of the total number of study units required for the entire course;
- Have been disciplined during the study period from the warning level or higher.
Fourth, students in Vietnam who retake the graduation exam and meet the requirements will only be classified as average.
