Regulations on attire of male legal aid assistants in Vietnam according to Circular 21 (illustrative image)

Circular 21/2014/TT-BTP stipulates that attire includes: suit ensemble, long-sleeved shirt, spring-summer attire (short-sleeved spring-summer shirt, spring-summer trousers), belt, leather shoes, strap sandals, socks, tie, document briefcase, and ID badge. Specifically, the Circular stipulates the attire of male legal aid assistants in Vietnam as follows:

1. Suit jacket

- Color: Black fabric;

- Fabric material: For units from Thua Thien Hue to the North and Central Highlands: wool Gabardine fabric; for units from Da Nang to the South: wool-blend Tweed fabric.

- Style: Single-breasted suit jacket with two straight buttons, round hem, side vents, K-shaped lapels, two lower welt pockets, rectangular rounded flap pockets, one chest pocket on the left with a slanted pocket opening, front construction darts, jersey lining in the same color as the main fabric. Sleeves without elbow patches, sleeve openings with vertical slits adorned with two plastic buttons in the same color as the fabric.

2. Suit trousers and spring-summer trousers

- Color: Black fabric;

- Fabric material: Suit trousers: For units from Thua Thien Hue to the North and Central Highlands: wool Gabardine fabric; for units from Da Nang to the South: wool-blend Tweed fabric.

- Style: K12-style tailored trousers, featuring two front pleats, diagonal side pockets, plastic zipper fly matching the fabric color, interior button to adjust the waistband for a smooth fit, stainless steel hook at the waistband center, six equally spaced belt loops. The back features two rear welt pockets, each with a button closure. The hem is designed with a skewed cuff to maintain a smooth crease-free drape.

3. Long-sleeved dress shirt

- Color: White fabric;

- Fabric material: Polyester-cotton blend fabric;

- Style: Stand-collar long-sleeved shirt with button placket, cuffs with two buttons to adjust the sleeve opening size. The shirt features six white plastic buttons, one chest pocket on the left without a flap, rounded pocket bottom. Pocket opening with a 03-centimeter (cm) seam, straight-hem design.

4. Short-sleeved spring-summer shirt

- Color: White fabric;

- Fabric material: Polyester-cotton blend fabric;

- Style: Short-sleeved spring-summer shirt, turned-up sleeve openings, stand collar with stays, shoulder straps (straps with pointed ends facing the collar and fastened with a plastic button matching the fabric color), button placket with six plastic buttons matching the fabric color. Featuring two chest pockets with flaps designed in a swallowtail shape, each flap fastened with a plastic button matching the fabric color. Pockets with gussets, rounded bottoms, and twin topstitching at 04 millimeters (mm). Back with shoulder yoke and two box pleats on the sides. Style for tucked-in wear, straight-hem design.
