On November 9, 2016, the Minister of Finance issued Circular 206/2016/TT-BTC stipulating the rates, collection policies, remittance, and management of usage fees for visiting the Bach Ma, Cuc Phuong, Ba Vi, Tam Dao, Yok Don, and Cat Tien National Parks.
According to the Circular, organizations and individuals visiting national parks are required to pay a fee. National parks (under the General Department of Forestry, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) are the fee-collecting organizations.
The fee rates are prescribed as follows:
For adults: VND 60,000/person/visit.
For students, pupils (learners) in universities, colleges, intermediate schools, vocational schools: VND 20,000/person/visit.
Students and pupils (learners) are those who have student cards, pupil cards, or learner cards issued by educational institutions within the national education system in Vietnam.
a) Children referred to in Clause 3 of this Article are those aged from 6 to under 16 years old. In cases where it is difficult to determine whether the person is under 16 years old, the birth certificate, passport, identity card, or any other document proving that the person is under 16 years old must be presented.
b) Pupils are those who have pupil cards issued by educational institutions within the national education system in Vietnam.
Circular 206/2016/TT-BTC shall take effect from January 1, 2017; replacing Circular 126/2012/TT-BTC dated August 7, 2012 issued by the Minister of Finance.
