Regime for Athletes in the Police Force Participating in Social Insurance and Health Insurance from July 01, 2015

This content is detailed in Circular 19/2015/TT-BCA, which stipulates certain policies for trainers, athletes, and physical training and sports activities within the People's Police.

Policies for coaches and athletes participating in compulsory social insurance and health insurance are stipulated in Circular 19/2015/TT-BCA as follows:

- Coaches and athletes receiving salaries from the state budget during the period of focused training and competition, the managing agency is responsible for deducting the social insurance and health insurance premiums according to regulations.

- Coaches and athletes not receiving salaries from the state budget but participating in compulsory social insurance and health insurance during their period of focused training and competition, the employing agency of the coaches and athletes is responsible for transferring the necessary funds to the managing agency for the payment of social insurance and health insurance premiums in accordance with the law.

Additionally, the employing and managing agencies of coaches and athletes have the responsibility to handle social insurance benefits and health insurance according to regulations.

Moreover, Circular 19 stipulates that coaches and athletes who are not participating in social insurance upon ceasing to be coaches or athletes (concluding their careers as top-level coaches or athletes) are entitled to a one-time allowance. For each year (12 months) of focused training as a coach or athlete (intermittent periods are cumulative), they will receive an allowance equal to 1.5 months of wages (26 days/month) before ceasing to be a coach or athlete, with a minimum equal to 2 months of wages. When calculating cumulative time, periods less than 3 months are not counted; periods from 3 months to 6 months are counted as half a year; periods over 6 months to 12 months are counted as a full year.
