Regime and Policies for Southern Youth Volunteers

In addition to one-time assistance policies, youth volunteers from the South are also entitled to monthly assistance policies, funeral assistance, and loan policies for production and business.

To be specific:

1. Monthly Allowance Regime

Young volunteers based in Southern Vietnam who are no longer able to work and live alone without any support are eligible for a monthly allowance of 540,000 VND.

This allowance will be adjusted accordingly when the Government of Vietnam adjusts the monthly allowance for young volunteers who completed their duties during the resistance war as stipulated in Decision 40/2011/QD-TTg.

2. Funeral Allowance Regime

When young volunteers based in Southern Vietnam pass away, the person in charge of the funeral will receive a funeral allowance as prescribed by the law on social insurance.

In case the young volunteers based in Southern Vietnam pass away after the effective date of this Decree and have not yet received one-time or monthly allowance policies stipulated in Decree 112, the person in charge of the funeral will receive the funeral allowance.

3. Production and Business Loan Policy

- Young volunteers based in Southern Vietnam are eligible to borrow capital from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies for production and business to improve their livelihood.- Young volunteers based in Southern Vietnam, when applying for a loan, must be certified by the commune-level People's Committee of their permanent residence registration place as being eligible for production and business loans.- Loan amount, interest rates, loan term, lending methods, and other lending regulations are applied as per the current program for poor households in each period.- Risk debt handling for borrowed capital follows the regulations of the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam on the risk debt handling mechanism at the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies.
