Provisions on Reporting Periods in the Transportation Sector

At the end of 2017, Circular No. 48/2017/TT-BGTVT was signed and promulgated by the Ministry of Transport, stipulating the system of statistical indicators and policies for statistical reporting in the transport sector.

Statistical reports in the transport sector are carried out according to the following reporting periods:

- Monthly statistical report: the monthly report is calculated from the 1st to the last day of the month.- Quarterly statistical report: the quarterly statistical report is calculated from the 1st day of the first month to the last day of the third month of the statistical reporting period.- Semi-annual statistical report: the semi-annual statistical report is calculated beginning from the 1st day of the first month of the statistical reporting period up to the last day of the sixth month of the statistical reporting period.- Annual statistical report: the annual statistical report is calculated beginning from the 1st day of the first month of the statistical reporting period up to the last day of the twelfth month of the statistical reporting period.- Five-year statistical report: the statistical report is conducted every five years/once. Statistical data is calculated up to December 31 of the reporting year. Reporting years are those with unit digits of 0 and 5.- Other and ad-hoc statistical reports: in cases where other statistical reports or ad-hoc statistical reports are needed to fulfill state management requirements.
