On January 10, 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Plan 25/KH-BGDDT to implement traffic safety propaganda and education in schools for 2024.

The Ministry of Education and Training promulgates the Plan to implement traffic safety education in schools for 2024, with specific content as follows:

(1) Propagate and educate students about the law on Road Traffic Safety with the following specific contents:

- Regulations on road traffic signals, road traffic signs (prohibition signs, danger signs, command signs, and instruction signs) in terms of color, shape, etc.; command signals of traffic lights; commands and instructions of road signs; and orders of traffic police.

- Skills for sitting on bicycles, electric bicycles, mopeds, motorbikes, cars, buses, safety, and safe walking; age of motorbike and moped drivers; mandatory regulations on wearing helmets; safe operation of motorbikes, mopeds, and electric bicycles; Prevent accidents when participating in traffic.

- Legal regulations on alcohol concentration for drivers of road motor vehicles; mandatory regulations on wearing helmets; warnings about common violations, the risk of accidents, and the causes and consequences of traffic accidents.

- Law provisions on compulsory insurance for civil liability of motor vehicle owners.

(2) Propagate and educate students to strictly implement regulations on ensuring railway traffic safety, especially the following prohibited acts:

- Destroying railway works, railway vehicles, arbitrarily moving or falsifying works, signaling equipment, and fixed signs on the railway; hang, expose, or place objects to obscure or distort railway traffic signals; Do not cross the level crossing when the red light is on, cross the barrier between the railway and the surrounding area, leave obstacles, flammable substances, or explosive substances.
within the scope of protecting railway works and railway traffic safety corridors.

- Walking, standing, lying down, sitting on the roof of the car, the engine, and the steps up and down the car; hanging, standing, sitting on both sides of the carriages, locomotives, connecting places between carriages, locomotives; opening doors to get on or off the train, putting heads, arms, legs, and other objects outside the side of the car while the train is running; walking, standing, lying, sitting on the railway; throwing soil, stones, or other objects onto the train.

(3) Propagate and educate students to strictly implement regulations on ensuring the order and safety of inland waterway traffic.

- Propagate and educate students to wear life jackets or use life-saving equipment when traveling by boat; strictly comply with regulations on ensuring safety when using waterway vehicles.

- Direct and implement the prevention of drowning accidents among students; organize training on drowning prevention skills for students when going sightseeing, picnicking, limiting sightseeing activities in the rainy season, dangerous areas, etc. to ensure safety.
