This is the content noted in Decree 06/2019/ND-CP on the management of forest plants, endangered, precious, and rare forest animals, and the implementation of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.

Issued together with Decree 06/2019/ND-CP is the list of endangered, precious, and rare forest plants and animals, specifically:

- Group I: Forest plant and animal species that are endangered and prohibited from exploitation and use for commercial purposes, and species listed in CITES Appendix I naturally distributed in Vietnam.

- Group IA: Forest plant species.- Group IB: Forest animal species.

- Group II: Forest plant and animal species that are not yet endangered but are at risk of becoming so if not strictly managed, limited for exploitation and use for commercial purposes, and species listed in CITES Appendix II naturally distributed in Vietnam.

- Group IIA: Forest plant species.- Group IIB: Forest animal species.
