Promulgation of Regulations on Salaries and Competitive Support Payments for Coaches and Athletes

Article 3 Circular 18/2019/TT-BLDTBXH stipulates the policies on salaries and training and competition support for coaches and athletes during the period of centralized training and competition, specifically:

Firstly, for coaches and athletes stipulated at point a Clause 1 Article 2 of Decree 152/2018/ND-CP currently receiving salaries from the state budget, they shall receive salaries as follows:

- Receive full salaries as stipulated at point a Clause 1 Article 3 of Decree 152/2018/ND-CP.- In case the daily salary of the coach or athlete in the immediate preceding month before being called for training and competition is lower than the corresponding daily salary stipulated at Clause 2 and Clause 3 Article 3 of Decree 152/2018/ND-CP, they shall receive a compensatory amount, which is the difference between the daily salary of the immediate preceding month and the stipulated daily salary, multiplied by the actual number of training and competition days in the month.- If the actual number of training and competition days in the month exceeds 26 days, they shall receive an additional amount calculated by dividing the salary by 26 and multiplying by the number of extra days.- The monthly salary paid to the coach or athlete is determined as the salary plus any compensatory amount (if any). If the actual number of training and competition days exceeds 26 days, they shall receive additional support.

Secondly, for coaches and athletes stipulated at points b, c, and d Clause 1 Article 2 of Decree 152/2018/ND-CP, they shall receive a salary or support corresponding to each title according to the actual number of training and competition days as stipulated at Clause 2, Clause 3, and Clause 4 Article 3 of Decree 152/2018/ND-CP.

Thirdly, the coaches and athletes stipulated in the above cases who have actual training and competition days in the month exceeding 26 days, in addition to the above salary and support, shall receive additional support for those actual days exceeding 26 days in the month. This additional support is calculated as the daily salary or support stipulated at Clause 2, Clause 3, and Clause 4 Article 3 of Decree 152/2018/ND-CP, multiplied by 200% and the actual number of days exceeding 26 days.
