Promulgating Regulations on the Establishment of Ha Dong City in Ha Tay Province by the Government of Vietnam

On December 27, 2006, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 155/2006/ND-CP on the establishment of Ha Dong City in Ha Tay Province based on the entire natural area, population, and subordinate administrative units of the district-level town of Ha Dong.

The city of Ha Dong has a natural area of 4,791.74 hectares and a population of 228,715, consisting of 15 administrative units, including:

- Wards: Nguyen Trai, Quang Trung, Van Mo, Van Phuc, Ha Cau, Phuc La, Yet Kieu; and- Communes: Van Khe, Kien Hung, Phu Luong, Phu Lam, Yen Nghia, Dong Mai, Bien Giang, Duong Noi.

Administrative boundaries of Ha Dong City:

- To the east, it borders Thanh Tri district, Hanoi city;- To the west, it borders Chuong My district and Hoai Duc district;- To the south, it borders Thanh Oai district;- To the north, it borders Tu Liem district, Hanoi city.

Ha Tay province has 14 district-level administrative units, including the districts of: Ba Vi, Chuong My, Dan Phuong, Hoai Duc, My Duc, Phu Xuyen, Phuc Tho, Quoc Oai, Thach That, Thanh Oai, Thuong Tin, Ung Hoa, the district-level town of Son Tay and Ha Dong city.

Decree No. 155/2006/ND-CP officially applies from January 19, 2007.
