This is one of the noteworthy contents regulated in the Law on Prevention and Control of Harmful Effects of Alcohol and Beer passed by the National Assembly on June 14, 2019.

Effective from July 1, 2020, officials and public employees, workers in agencies, organizations, officers, non-commissioned officers, professional soldiers, soldiers, workers in the people's armed forces, and students are not allowed to consume alcohol or beer immediately before, during working hours, study hours, or during breaks in between.
Additionally, the Law also prohibits the following acts in the prevention of the harms caused by alcohol and beer:
- Inciting, provoking, enticing, or coercing others to drink alcohol or beer.- Individuals under 18 years of age consuming alcohol or beer.- Selling, supplying, or promoting alcohol or beer to individuals under 18 years of age.- Employing individuals under 18 years of age in the direct production, purchase, or sale of alcohol or beer.- Operating vehicles while having an alcohol concentration in the blood or breath.- Advertising alcohol with an alcohol content of 15 degrees or more.- Providing inaccurate or false information about the effects of alcohol or beer on health.- Promotions in the business of alcohol or beer with an alcohol content of 15 degrees or more; using alcohol or beer with an alcohol content of 15 degrees or more for promotions in any form.- Using ingredients, additives, or processing aids not authorized for use in food; ingredients, food additives, processing aids that do not meet quality standards or have unclear origins for the production and preparation of alcohol or beer.- Trading alcohol without a license or without registration; selling alcohol or beer through vending machines.- Trading, storing, transporting fake, smuggled alcohol, or low-quality alcohol or beer, with unclear origins or illegally imported.
