Self-assessment is the process by which the preschool institution, based on the evaluation standards issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, reviews and assesses the current status of the quality of nurturing, caring for, and educating children; the facilities, and other related issues of the institution to adjust resources and implementation processes to meet the preschool evaluation standards.
According to the regulations on accreditation of educational quality and recognition of national standards for preschool institutions issued together with Circular 19/2018/TT-BGDDT, the self-assessment process of a preschool includes the following steps:
Step 1: Establish a self-assessment council.
Step 2: Develop a self-assessment plan.
Step 3: Collect, process, and analyze evidence.
Step 4: Evaluate the achievement levels according to each criterion.
Step 5: Write the self-assessment report.
Step 6: Publicize the self-assessment report.
Step 7: Implement activities after completing the self-assessment report.
