Procedures for registration of operation of domestic violence victim support facilities and counseling centers in Vietnam

Recently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam issued Circular 23/2014/TT-BVHTTDL amending and supplementing certain provisions of Circular 02/2010/TT-BVHTTDL on the Procedures for registration of operation of domestic violence victim support facilities and counseling centers in Vietnam.

Procedures for registration of operation of domestic violence victim support facilities and counseling centers in Vietnam (Internet image)

The Procedures for registration of operation of domestic violence victim support facilities and counseling centers in Vietnam are as follows:

1. Dossier for reissuing the Certificate of Operational Registration includes:

- An application form requesting the reissue of the Certificate of Operational Registration for consulting facilities on domestic violence prevention and control; an application form requesting the reissue of the Certificate of Operational Registration for support facilities for domestic violence victims;

- The old Certificate of Operational Registration (in case it is torn or damaged);

- A copy of the Certificate of Operational Registration or the approved operational regulations (in case the Certificate of Operational Registration is lost).

2. Method of Implementation:

Direct submission or postal submission of a dossier requesting the reissue of the Certificate of Operational Registration at the competent People's Committee as specified in Article 17 of Decree 08/2009/ND-CP. Within 15 working days from the date of receipt of a complete and valid dossier, the competent People's Committee reissues the Certificate of Operational Registration for consulting facilities on domestic violence prevention and control, support facilities for domestic violence victims as per Circular 02/2010/TT-BVHTTDL. If not approved, a written response specifying the reason must be issued.

More details can be found in Circular 23/2014/TT-BVHTTDL which comes into effect in Vietnam from February 20, 2015.
