Procedures and Order for Recognition of Tourist Accommodation Establishment Ratings

About the application file for recognizing the ranking of tourist accommodation facilities (CSLTDL) includes:

- Application for recognition of CSLTDL ranking (Form 07 Appendix II Circular 06/2017/TT-BVHTTDL);- Self-assessment report on the quality of CSLTDL according to national standards for CSLTDL ranking;- List of managers and staff in CSLTDL;- Certified copies of degrees, certificates, professional training certificates, and certificates of work experience in the tourism sector of managers and department heads in CSLTDL.

Procedures:

- Organizations or individuals engaged in tourism accommodation services shall submit 01 file to the competent state agency (CQNN). In case the file is not valid, within 03 working days from the date of receipt, the competent state agency must notify in writing and state clearly the requirements for amendment and supplementation;- Within 30 days from the date of receipt of a valid file, the competent state agency shall preside over, cooperate with the tourism social-professional organization to appraise and issue a decision recognizing the CSLTDL ranking; in case of non-recognition, must notify in writing and state the reason.

Authority for appraisal and recognition of tourist accommodation facility rankings:

- Vietnam National Administration of Tourism: 4-star, 5-star ranking;- Provincial-level specialized tourism agency: 1-star, 2-star, 3-star ranking.

Assessment fee for recognizing CSLTDL ranking:

- 1-star, 2-star ranking: 1,500,000 VND/file;- 3-star ranking: 2,000,000 VND/file;- 4-star, 5-star ranking: 3,500,000 VND/file.

The decision on recognizing the CSLTDL ranking is valid for 05 years. After the expiration, organizations or individuals engaged in tourism accommodation services wishing to re-register for CSLTDL ranking shall follow the above-stated procedures.

Note: The sign recognizing the tourist accommodation facility ranking must be attached in the main entrance area of the facility.
