Elite sports performance refers to the systematic training and competition activities of coaches and athletes aiming to achieve sports accomplishments and records. To be authorized to host elite sports competitions, the following procedures must be followed:
Organizations requesting to host high-achievement sports competitions must directly submit, via postal services, or electronic network, one set of application documents to the competent authority for deciding on the organization of high-achievement sports competitions.
Within 30 days from the date of receiving a complete and valid application, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam will decide on organizing sports competitions under his authority; in case of refusal, there must be a written notification clearly stating the reasons.
Within 10 days from the date of receiving a complete and valid application, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee will decide on organizing sports competitions under their authority; in case of refusal, there must be a written notification clearly stating the reasons.
- A request form to host the sports competition, clearly stating the name of the competition, the purpose of the organization, the expected time, location, the number of participating athletes, facilities, technical equipment, financial sources, and measures to ensure order and safety during the organization of the competition;- Regulations of the sports competition;- Competition program.
