Procedure for Recognizing the Traditional Day of Units in the People's Army of Vietnam

- The unit requesting recognition of the traditional day shall prepare 02 sets of dossiers and send them to the Department of Propaganda and Training;- Within 02 months from the date of receiving a valid dossier, the Department of Propaganda and Training shall assume the prime responsibility, appraise, and report to the Director of the General Political Department, and submit it to the Minister of National Defense for issuance of a recognition decision; in case the dossier is not valid, the Department of Propaganda and Training shall issue a written notice stating the reasons for the unit to complete it as required.

- For traditional days under the decision-making authority of the head of the unit directly under the Ministry of National Defense:

- The unit requesting recognition of the traditional day shall prepare 02 sets of dossiers and send them to the Political Agency of the unit directly under the Ministry of National Defense;- Within 02 months from the date of receiving a valid dossier, the Political Agency of the unit directly under the Ministry of National Defense shall assume the prime responsibility, appraise, and submit it to the head of the unit directly under the Ministry of National Defense for issuance of a recognition decision; in case the dossier is not valid, the Political Agency of the unit directly under the Ministry of National Defense shall issue a written notice stating the reasons for the unit to complete it as required.
