This is one of the highlighted contents mentioned in Circular 17/2014/TT-NHNN which stipulates the classification, packaging, and delivery of precious metals and gemstones.
The receipt of precious metals and gemstones in sealed form is implemented according to Circular 17/2014/TT-NHNN as follows:
- The team leader conducts a thorough check of all legal and valid documents related to the received assets as stipulated in Clause 1, Article 11 of Circular 17. The person delivering the sealed items must provide a detailed list of the items, including the name of each item, quantity, quality, and weight of the items.- The delivery and receipt team witnesses and guides the deliverer in packaging, boxing, and sealing the items. Inside the package or box, there must be an inventory and a delivery receipt. The delivery receipt clearly states that the items are received in sealed packages or boxes. The seal should clearly state: the delivering unit, deliverer, full name, and signature of the person sealing the box or package; the date of delivery, and the deliverer’s signature.
Note: The person whose name is on the seal is responsible for the quantity, quality, and weight of the items in the sealed package or box. The receiving unit of the sealed package or box is not responsible for the quantity, quality, and weight of the items inside the sealed package or box.
