This is the content stipulated in Circular 57/2017/TT-BTNMT issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on December 08, 2017.
The procedure for conducting measurements for the types of work prescribed by Circular 57 includes:
- At the wide surface stations:
- Step 1: Deploy conductivity, temperature, and depth measuring devices (CTD), and collect marine environmental water samples by layers; retrieve the device after measurement.- Step 2: Collect marine geological samples and marine sediment environment samples; retrieve the device after sampling.- Step 3: Collect marine ecological samples; retrieve the device after sampling.- Step 4: The ship moves to the next stations.
- At continuous stations: proceed with the steps as prescribed for the wide surface stations.
- Simultaneously, Circular 57 also prescribes that at independent buoy stations, the independent measuring buoy should be deployed before the ship is stably anchored. The buoys are deployed at distances between 200 to 500 meters from each other and from the ship, excluding the length of the anchoring rope, and the survey is conducted according to regulations.
- Meteorological, air environment, and seabed terrain sectors are conducted according to specialized procedures, standards, technical regulations, and regulations.
- In addition, Circular 57 stipulates that during the journey of the ship conduction measurements at wide surface stations, tidal observations should be conducted to calibrate the topographic measurement data as per regulations.
