Procedure for Evaluation and Classification of Assessment Results According to Professional Standards for Teachers

This is one of the basic contents stipulated in Circular 20/2018/TT-BGDDT regulating professional standards for teachers of general education institutions, issued on August 22, 2018.

To be specific, according to the provisions of Article 10 of the Regulation on professional standards for teachers in general education institutions issued together with Circular 20/2018/TT-BGDDT, the evaluation process is as follows:

- Teachers self-evaluate according to professional standards for teachers;- The general education institution collects feedback from colleagues in the professional team for the teacher being evaluated according to professional standards for teachers;- The head of the general education institution conducts the evaluation and announces the evaluation results of the teacher based on self-evaluation results, colleagues' opinions, and the practical performance of the teacher through appropriate, verifiable evidence.

The classification of evaluation results is as follows:

- Achieving professional standards for teachers at a good level: All criteria are met at a fairly good level or higher, at least 2/3 of the criteria are met at a good level, including criteria in Article 5 of the Regulation at a good level;- Achieving professional standards for teachers at a fairly good level: All criteria are met at an acceptable level or higher, at least 2/3 of the criteria are met at a fairly good level or higher, including the criteria in Article 5 of the Regulation at a fairly good level or higher;- Achieving professional standards for teachers at an acceptable level: All criteria are met at an acceptable level or higher;- Not achieving professional standards for teachers: A criterion is assessed as not met (a criterion is assessed as not met when it does not meet the requirements of the acceptable level of that criterion).
