Procedure for Collecting Social Insurance from Enterprises: Implementation Guidelines

Circular 37/2017/TT-BQP has been issued by the Ministry of National Defense guiding the management of collection and expenditure of compulsory social insurance within the Ministry of National Defense. The document takes effect from April 2, 2017.

To be specific, the process of collecting Social Insurance (SI) from enterprises is guided in detail by Circular 37:

Monthly, enterprises are responsible for calculating the SI amount payable, aggregating the total SI amount to be paid into the specialized SI collection account of the Ministry of National Defense's SI department, no later than the last day of that month. Specifically:

- The portion paid by employees: Based on the list of employees and the salary fund for SI contributions, the financial department calculates the SI amount for each person and deducts it from their salary;- The portion paid by the employing enterprise: Based on the monthly salary fund for SI contributions and the prescribed contribution rate, the financial department allocates the amount to be paid for SI and accounts it into the production and business operating expenses of the enterprise.
