On December 15, 2023, the Prime Minister issued Directive 30/CT-TTg, strengthening measures to ensure a joyful, healthy, safe, and economical Lunar New Year 2024.

To drastically implement Directive 26-CT/TW dated November 23, 2023, of the Secretariat on organizing the 2024 Giap Thin Tet; Prepare well the conditions to serve the people to celebrate the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin happily, healthily, safely, and economically; promote recovery and development of production and business in all fields by the end of 2023 and the Lunar New Year; The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs to preside over and coordinate with ministries, branches, and localities to perform a number of tasks, for example, as follows:

- Strengthen inspection and implementation of measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene, ensuring that civil servants, public employees, and employees are paid full salaries and bonuses and have Tet holidays properly arranged.
according to the law.

- Monitor and grasp the labor situation in industrial parks, export processing zones, and economic zones, especially in localities with a large concentration of labor,
create favorable conditions for workers to take Tet holidays and return to work after Tet;

- Pay attention to supporting workers who have suffered a sharp decrease in income, loss, or lack of jobs due to the effects of natural disasters, epidemics, and enterprises narrowing production and business.

- Implement solutions to maintain the human resource supply chain, promptly providing labor for businesses before and after the Lunar New Year.

- Fully implement social insurance and unemployment insurance policies and regimes;

- Proactively develop solutions to prevent and handle labor disputes that may occur during the Lunar New Year.

- Support and create conditions to ensure that Vietnamese workers abroad can celebrate the Lunar New Year according to the nation's customs and traditions and in accordance with actual conditions.

- Focus on reviewing and understanding the life situation of policy beneficiaries and people in difficult circumstances (poor households, near-poverty households, people in localities damaged by natural disasters, epidemics, remote areas, borders, islands, ethnic minority areas, workers, laborers, people who have lost their jobs, etc.) to pay attention, take care of, and promptly have appropriate support policies.

- Organize visits and give gifts to the right people, according to the right regime, openly and transparently, avoiding duplication and overlap, not taking advantage of or profiteering from policies; ensure that all policy beneficiaries have gifts and receive them before Tet, leaving no one without Tet.

- Strengthen child protection and care, ensuring all children can celebrate a joyful and warm Tet;

- Strengthen inspection and supervision of prevention and control of accidents and injuries to children, prevention of violence and abuse of women and children, and prevention of domestic violence and gender-based violence during the Lunar New Year;

- Organize healthy, safe, and economical entertainment activities for people;

- Instruct on protecting children from cultural, informational, entertainment products and activities, harmful toys, and gambling.

- Strengthen communication work on gender equality and measures to prevent and respond to gender-based violence.

- Monitor and regularly inspect the operations of drug detoxification facilities; absolutely do not allow students to run away collectively, destroy property, facilities, or destabilize the local political and social situation during the Lunar New Year.
