Preferential Regime for Family Members When a Revolutionary Contributor Passes Away

According to Decree 31/2013/ND-CP, to calculate the benefit policies for relatives of revolutionary activists when they pass away, it is necessary to base on the duration of the revolutionary activities of the activists to determine. To be specific:

First case: revolutionary activists before January 1, 1945:

- A revolutionary activist who is receiving preferential policies as stipulated in Clause 2 Article 9 of the Ordinance on preferential treatment for people with meritorious services to the revolution, and who passes away, the funeral organizer will receive the funeral fee; the representative of the relatives will receive a lump-sum allowance equivalent to three months of the assistance and preferential allowance.- A revolutionary activist who passes away without having received preferential policies as stipulated in Clause 2 Article 9 of the Ordinance, the representative of the relatives will receive a one-time allowance of 50 million VND.- In case there are no relatives, the worshiper will receive a one-time allowance of 10 million VND.

Second case: revolutionary activists from January 1, 1945 to the August 1945 uprising:

- A revolutionary activist who is receiving preferential policies as stipulated in Clause 2 Article 10 of the Ordinance, and who passes away, the funeral organizer will receive the funeral fee; the representative of the relatives will receive a one-time allowance equivalent to three months of the preferential allowance.- A revolutionary activist who passes away without having received preferential policies as stipulated in Clause 2 Article 10 of the Ordinance, the representative of the relatives will receive a one-time allowance of 25 million VND.- In case there are no relatives, the worshiper will receive a one-time allowance of 10 million VND.

The basis for determining the relatives eligible for monthly survivorship allowance: Clause 3 Article 10 and Clause 3 Article 16 of Decree 31/2013/ND-CP.
