Regarding this issue, LawNet would like to answer as follows:
On March 19, 2024, Vietnam Social Insurance issued Plan 724/KH-BHXH implementing the Strategy for converting newspaper numbers to 2025, with an orientation to 2030 of Social Insurance Magazine.
The implementation plan for digital transformation of newspapers to 2025, with a vision to 2030 of Social Insurance Magazine will have the following contents:
(1) Continue to improve digital awareness
- Continue to include the implementation of Decision 348/QD-TTg and the Newspaper Digital Transformation Strategy to 2025, with a vision to 2030, into the unit's regular tasks and seriously implement them.
- Periodically thoroughly grasp the Newspaper Digital Transformation Strategy to 2025, with a vision to 2030 (issued together with Decision 348/QD-TTg) and documents related to all officials, public employees, and employees of the unit; which emphasizes the importance and urgency of promoting the implementation of digital transformation in newspapers in sync with the National Digital Transformation Program.
- Emphasize the importance of the Newspaper Digital Transformation Strategy to 2025, orientation to 2030 for the activities of Social Insurance Magazine, which are: The digital transformation of newspapers aims to: build press agencies in a professional, humane, and modern direction; perform well the mission of information and propaganda to serve the Party's revolutionary cause and the country's innovation cause; ensure the leading role and direction of public opinion; maintain information sovereignty in cyberspace; effectively innovate the reader experience; create new revenue sources; and promote the development of the digital content industry.
(2) Regarding e-Institution
- Research and develop specific tasks to urge and strengthen the annual digital transformation of newspapers.
- Research and develop categories; series of news and articles; and press products and services suitable for each target group to meet the increasing needs of readers.
- Research and advise on solutions to increase revenue from publications for Social Insurance Magazine.
(3) Continue to build, pilot, and develop digital journalism products
- Continue towards digital transformation and the application of information technology; to provide readers with a more interesting and vivid way of accessing information about Vietnam's Social Insurance sector, continue to research and upgrade various multimedia forms of journalism such as video clips, e-magazines, longform articles, infographics, podcasts, etc. This diversification of formats helps effectively convey content to readers on digital platforms, making the Social Insurance Magazine more accessible and better meeting the needs of the readers.
- Continue to research, build, and develop more information channels for Social Insurance Magazine on social network platforms; research and pilot the English version of Social Insurance Magazine... to effectively spread information and serve the increasing needs of readers.
(4) Develop digital platforms
- Research and develop tools to evaluate and monitor the quality of publications/journalism products.
- Build an Editorial Office with modern technology; promote the application of information technology in management and operations.
(5) Improve the quality of human resources
Develop a training plan for the digital transformation of newspapers; Register and send officers, reporters, and editors to attend courses and classes on basic skills necessary for digital journalism transformation organized by the Center for Professional Training in Journalism (Vietnam Journalists Association). Periodically organize on-site training sessions to improve professional knowledge and skills; information technology; network safety and security; and collecting, analyzing, and processing data to serve innovation in production, content distribution, and monitoring and evaluation of information quality.
