Circular 40/2016/TT-BTNMT stipulates the implementation of weather forecasting and warning methods for ultra-short-term and short-term periods as follows:
- The methods commonly used in weather forecasting and warning for ultra-short-term and short-term periods include:- Method based on synoptic analysis and experience;- Method based on statistical analysis;- Method based on dynamic meteorological modeling;- Method based on ensemble forecasting;- Method based on extrapolation, interpolation, and persistence;- Method based on other approaches (if any).- Weather forecasting and warning methods for ultra-short-term and short-term periods are utilized in the national meteorological and hydrological forecasting and warning system as stipulated by the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting.- Individuals engaged in forecasting and warning activities outside the national meteorological and hydrological forecasting and warning system shall independently stipulate the appropriate use of forecasting and warning methods.
