Decision 852/QD-TTg issued by the Prime Minister on June 14, 2017 to approve the overall scheme for arranging and restructuring enterprises under the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) for the period 2016 - 2020 with some notable contents such as:
The parent company - EVN continues to be a limited liability company with 100% charter capital held by the State.
18 units maintain their organization, operating mechanisms, and are part of the structure of the Parent Company - EVN:
- Son La Hydropower Company;- Hoa Binh Hydropower Company;- Ialy Hydropower Company;- Tri An Hydropower Company;- Tuyen Quang Hydropower Company;- Se San Hydropower Development Company;- Huoi Quang - Ban Chat Hydropower Company;- Hydropower Project Management Board 1;- Hydropower Project Management Board 4 (cease operations after completing project settlement);- Hydropower Project Management Board 5;- Hydropower Project Management Board 6;- Son La Hydropower Project Management Board;- Ninh Nuclear Power Project Management Board;- Thermal Power Project Management Board 2;- EVN Investment Construction and Technology Project Management Board;- Power Purchasing Company;- Power Telecom and Information Technology Company;- Power Information Center.
7 enterprises with 100% charter capital held by EVN:
- National Power Transmission Corporation;- Northern Power Corporation;- Central Power Corporation;- Southern Power Corporation;- Hanoi City Power Corporation;- Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation;- National Power System Dispatching Center (to be transformed into a single-member limited liability company in the period of 2019 - 2020 according to Decision 168/QD-TTg).
02 enterprises with over 50% charter capital held by EVN:
- Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 1;- Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2.
02 enterprises with less than 50% charter capital held by EVN:
- Equitization of Power Generation Corporations 1, 2, 3 (EVN holding at least 51% charter capital of the Power Generation Corporations until the end of 2019, with further consideration of state capital withdrawal to below controlling interest in 2020);- Vinh Tan 3 Energy Joint Stock Company (divesting capital after completing the Vinh Tan 3 Thermal Power Plant project).
EVN fully divests capital from 06 enterprises:
- Electricity Finance Joint Stock Company;- Thu Duc Electromechanical Joint Stock Company;- Dong Anh Electrical Equipment Corporation - Joint Stock Company;- Thuan Binh Wind Power Joint Stock Company;- Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 3;- Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 4.
