The Hanoi People's Committee issued a plan for organizing the Mid-autumn festival for children in 2024 in Hanoi
On July 11, 2024, the People's Committee of Hanoi issued Plan 209/KH-UBND to organize the Mid-Autumn Festival for children in the city in 2024.

Main activities of the Plan include:
(1) Organizing the Mid-Autumn Festival for children in the city
- City Level:
Name: Night of the Full Moon Festival 2024.
The People's Committee plans to organize the Full Moon Festival Night at 20:00, September 17, 2024 (equivalent to August 15, 2024 in the lunar calendar - Tuesday) in Ba Dinh district.
- District and Commune Levels: Develop and implement the Plan to organize the Mid-Autumn Festival for children from September 12 to September 17, 2024 (equivalent to August 10 to August 15 in the lunar calendar) based on the actual situation of the locality, ensuring that every child celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival, especially children in special circumstances, at risk of falling into special circumstances, children in difficult areas, and children in ethnic and mountainous regions.
(2) Visiting and giving gifts to children and public social welfare facilities that care for and nurture children
- Proactively review, thoroughly grasp data on children in general, children in special circumstances according to the Law on children, and children at risk of falling into special circumstances to have care activities for children on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
- Organize gift-giving for children in special circumstances and public social welfare facilities that care for and nurture children on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival as stipulated in Resolution 25/2022/NQ-HDND dated December 8, 2022, by the City Council.
- Additionally, strengthen the mobilization of other support resources to organize visiting activities, giving gifts, rehabilitation tools, bicycles, books, school supplies, scholarships, savings books, sponsorships... for children in difficult circumstances with outstanding achievements in learning and training, children in special circumstances, at risk of falling into special circumstances, children in ethnic and mountainous regions, children in difficult areas; care facilities and shelters for children in the city on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
(3) Organizing communication, education, and social mobilization activities
- Enhance communication, education, and social mobilization activities, propagating the undertakings and lines of the Communist Party, policies, and laws of the State, decisions, programs, and plans of the Central and City on child protection and care to raise awareness, commitment, responsibility, and action of agencies, organizations, individuals, and the whole community on child protection and care, aiming to build a safe, friendly, and healthy living environment so that every child can develop holistically and enjoy all their rights.
- Communication content: Continue to promote the prevention and mitigation of child abuse risks, enhance awareness of children, families, and the community about jointly protecting children, reporting and denouncing acts of child abuse and violence; preventing and combating injuries, especially drowning, traffic accidents, and intentional injuries in children; Boost communication about the hotline of the Hanoi Social Work Center and Hanoi children’s Protection Fund (number 0243.2233111), the national child protection hotline (number 111) to report and denounce child abuse and when children, individuals, agencies or organizations need support, protection for children.
- Communication methods: Diversify and innovate communication methods to suit the actual situation and conditions in each locality, for different groups, with a priority for direct communication activities to each family, residential community; communication through mass media; printing and hanging banners, posters, slogans... at populous locations; posting and developing communication materials, promotional products on child protection and care messages; using sample communication products and materials posted on the website of the national child protection hotline (http://tongdai111.vn) and the VTV1 children’s Television fanpage; organizing seminars, talks, initiative activities, competitions... to enhance the effectiveness of implementing children's rights, proposing solutions for child protection in general, preventing and combating child abuse, preventing and combating injuries in children in particular in families, schools, child support facilities, and communities.
- Posting the Mid-Autumn Festival greeting letter from the President; information about activities organized to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival for children in the city.
- Training to enhance the capacity of staff working on child issues at all levels; providing knowledge and skills for parents/caretakers on child protection, preventing and combating child abuse, preventing and combating injuries for children; training life skills, skills to prevent and combat child abuse, preventing and combating injuries for children...
- Promptly commend good people, good deeds, sponsorship, assistance, and support for children in special circumstances, at risk of falling into special circumstances, children living in poor families, ethnic mountainous children...
