People who are in prison in Vietnam can still use scriptures

This is one of the policies aimed at realizing everyone's right to freedom of belief and religion as stipulated in the Law on Belief and Religion 2016 of Vietnam.

According to the Law on Belief and Religion 2016 of Vietnam, the following subjects are still entitled to freedom of religion, use of scriptures and expression of their religious beliefs:

- People held in detention;

- People serving time in prison;

- People sent to a reformatory, compulsory education institution or compulsory rehabilitation center.

To use scriptures published in the form of printed books, legally distributed and to express their beliefs and religious beliefs in words or actions.

The use of scriptures and expression of religious beliefs and beliefs of persons under management or detention at management or detention facilities must not affect the right to freedom of belief and religion and the right to be free of other people's beliefs and religions and not contrary to the provisions of relevant laws.
