People's Committee of Centrally-Run City Develops Urban Water Supply Plan

In Clause 3 Article 1 Decree 98/2019/ND-CP amending and supplementing Article 26 of Decree 117/2007/ND-CP, it stipulates that the People's Committee of the centrally-run city is responsible for organizing the planning task and plan for urban water supply within their administrative boundaries (previously under the jurisdiction of the provincial People's Committee).

The authority to appraise and approve the planning task and plan for urban water supply is carried out according to Decree 98/2019/ND-CP as follows:

- The People's Committee of the centrally-run city classified as a special urban area shall submit to the Ministry of Construction for appraisal and shall submit to the Prime Minister for approval of the planning task and plan for urban water supply.

- The urban planning management agency of the centrally-run city shall appraise and submit to the People's Committee of the centrally-run city for approval of the planning task and plan for water supply, except for the above provisions. The People's Committee of the centrally-run city must obtain the consensus of the Ministry of Construction before approving the planning task and plan.

The appraisal time for the urban water supply planning task and plan shall not exceed 20 working days, and the approval time for the urban water supply planning task and plan shall not exceed 15 working days from the date of receiving a complete and valid dossier as prescribed.
