On February 10, 2019, Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH issued by BLDTBXH regulating the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate and college levels in mechanical engineering fields will take effect.

In the Regulations on minimum knowledge volume, competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduation from intermediate and college levels in the mechanical assembly industry, issued together with Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, it is stipulated that mechanical assembly at the college level is a profession mainly performed by hand along with assembly tools and auxiliary means to piece together selected parts according to technical requirements, linking them into components or clusters, connecting the clusters and components into a complete machine assembly or a complete machinery combination (a type of technical means that transforms or processes new products, typically machine tools) or mechanical equipment (technical means supporting or serving the production process such as conveyor belts, bucket elevators, lifting equipment, ventilation systems, lighting systems, tanks, filters, etc.) and putting them into operation, meeting the level 5 requirements in the Vietnamese National Qualification Framework.
Main tasks are performed primarily in mechanical assembly workshops, repair workshops, enterprises, factories, construction projects, and other places that require assembly work.
Minimum knowledge volume: 2,500 hours (equivalent to 90 credits).
