According to the regulation on minimum knowledge volume, and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating with intermediate and college-level qualifications in the installation of power lines and substations with voltages up to 110 kV, issued in Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the installation of power lines and substations with voltages up to 110 kV at the college level is a field where the practitioner performs construction, installation (assembly), maintenance, and repair of power transmission lines, substations, and other electrical projects with voltages up to 110 kV. This meets level 5 requirements in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.

The main tasks of the sector include: installing 0.4 kV twisted pair cables; installing overhead power transmission lines with voltages up to 110 kV; installing underground cables with voltages up to 110 kV; installing distribution substations with voltages up to 35 kV; installing intermediate substations with voltages up to 110 kV; installing cabinets and panels of electrical projects with voltages up to 110 kV; supervising the construction and installation of electrical projects with voltages up to 110 kV; maintaining and repairing electrical projects with voltages up to 110 kV.

Practitioners in the installation of power transmission lines and substations with voltages up to 110 kV must have good health, a stable mental state, quick and flexible working style to work in harsh outdoor weather conditions, on high electrical poles ensuring labor safety and 5S standards.

Minimum knowledge volume: 2,420 hours (equivalent to 86 credits).

Note that upon graduation, learners will have the capability to meet the requirements in various job positions in the sector, including:

- Installing 0.4 kV twisted pair cables;- Installing overhead power transmission lines with voltages up to 110 kV;- Installing underground cables with voltages up to 110 kV;- Installing distribution substations with voltages up to 35 kV;- Installing intermediate substations with voltages up to 110 kV;- Installing cabinets and panels of electrical projects with voltages up to 110 kV;- Supervising the construction and installation of electrical projects with voltages up to 110 kV;- Maintaining and repairing electrical projects with voltages up to 110 kV.

For detailed regulations, see Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, issued on December 28, 2018.
