On February 25, 2025, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 36/2025/ND-CP stipulating the functions, duties, powers, and organizational structure of the Office of the Government of Vietnam.

According to Article 3 of Decree 36/2025/ND-CP, the organizational structure of the Office of the Government of Vietnam includes the following units:

(1) General Affairs Department.

(2) Legal Department.

(3) General Economic Department.

(4) Industrial Department.

(5) Agricultural Department.

(6) Educational Science - Social Affairs Department.

(7) Enterprise Innovation Department.

(8) International Relations Department.

(9) Internal Affairs Department.

(10) Public Service Organization Department.

(11) Inspection Work Monitoring Department (Department I).

(12) National Assembly, Localities, and Mass Organization Affairs Department.

(13) Secretary - Editing Department.

(14) Administrative Department.

(15) Personnel Organization Department.

(16) Administrative Procedures Control Bureau.

(17) Administrative - Financial Management Bureau.

(18) Electronic Information Portal of the Government of Vietnam.

The units belonging to the organizational structure of the Office of the Government of Vietnam are administrative organizations as specified by the Minister, Head of the Office of the Government of Vietnam in terms of their functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure. The Electronic Information Portal of the Government of Vietnam is authorized to use the seal bearing the national emblem. Department I contains 03 divisions; the Administrative Department contains 04 divisions.

The Minister, Head of the Office of the Government of Vietnam presents to the Prime Minister the list of public service providers under the Office of the Government of Vietnam.

The organizational structure of the Office of the Government of Vietnam before March 1, 2025, was stipulated in Article 3 of Decree 79/2022/ND-CP as follows:

(1) General Affairs Department.

(2) Legal Department.

(3) General Economic Department.

(4) Industrial Department.

(5) Agricultural Department.

(6) Educational Science - Social Affairs Department.

(7) Enterprise Innovation Department.

(8) International Relations Department.

(9) Internal Affairs Department.

(10) State Administrative Organization and Public Service Department.

(11) Monitoring Inspection and Grievance Resolution; Anti-corruption, Smuggling Prevention, Commercial Fraud, and Counterfeit Goods Department (abbreviated as Department I).

(12) National Assembly, Localities, and Mass Organization Affairs Department.

(13) Secretary - Editing Department.

(14) Administrative Department.

(15) Personnel Organization Department.

(16) Financial Planning Department.

(17) Administrative Procedures Control Bureau.

(18) Administrative Management Bureau.

(19) Administrative - Management Bureau II.

(20) Electronic Information Portal of the Government of Vietnam.

The units defined from item (1) to item (20) are administrative organizations.

The Minister, Head of the Office of the Government of Vietnam, presents the Prime Minister with a Decision defining the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Electronic Information Portal of the Government of Vietnam; issues a list of other public service providers under the Office of the Government of Vietnam.

The Minister, Head of the Office of the Government of Vietnam, defines the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the units under the Office of the Government of Vietnam, excluding the unit defined in item (20).

Department I contains 03 divisions. The Administrative Department contains 04 divisions.

Decree 36/2025/ND-CP is effective from March 1, 2025, and replaces Decree 79/2022/ND-CP.
