The Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court issued Circular 04/2024/TT-TANDTC on December 31, 2024, stipulating the functions, tasks, and powers of offices and departments under the People's Courts of provinces and centrally-run cities; the support apparatus for district-level People's Courts, whether districts, district-level towns, provincial cities, or cities under centrally-run cities.

Offices and Departments under the Provincial People's Court in 2025 in Vietnam

The offices and departments under the Provincial People's Court include:

- Office;

- Personnel Organization Department;

- Inspection, Testing, and Judgment Execution Department.

The positions and titles in the offices and departments under the Provincial People's Court include the Head of Department or equivalent, Deputy Head of Department or equivalent, People's Court Judges, Court Examiners, Court Clerks, other officials, and laborers;

Functions and tasks of the Provincial People's Court Office in Vietnam in 2025

According to Article 3 Circular 04/2024/TT-TANDTC, the office of the Provincial People's Court has the function of advising and assisting the Chief Justice of the Provincial People's Court in judicial administration, office management, ensuring funds, equipment, means, and working conditions to serve the activities of the Provincial People's Court; carrying out emulation and commendation tasks as per the assigned level.

- The Provincial People's Court office performs the following tasks and powers:

+ Carrying out administrative tasks, clerical work, and managing the legal seal according to legal regulations and the Supreme People's Court;

+ Receiving and handling petitions, claims, and accepting cases and matters within jurisdiction;

+ Organizing trial work and citizen reception according to regulations;

+ Developing plans, work programs, statistics, summaries, and reporting the operational situation of the Provincial People's Court and district-level People's Courts under its management;

+ Monitoring and urging units to perform tasks assigned by the Chief Justice of the Provincial People's Court;

+ Carrying out financial and accounting work, ensuring effective management and use of funds according to regulations;

+ Managing assets, infrastructure; ensuring equipment and working conditions; performing security, order, safety, fire prevention, firefighting, and health care tasks for the Provincial People's Court;

+ Managing and operating vehicles to serve the activities of the Provincial People's Court according to regulations;

+ Carrying out emulation and commendation work according to regulations;

+ Performing archiving work, exploiting records, and professional documents according to regulations;

+ Reviewing, searching, verifying, and providing information on judicial records according to the legal provisions on judicial records;

+ Organizing the deployment of information technology applications; exploiting the Electronic Information Portal and database to serve management and administration tasks of the Chief Justice of the Provincial People's Court;

+ Proactively monitoring information, grasping public opinion, and reflecting on the organization and activities of the Provincial People's Court and district-level People's Courts under its management;

+ Performing other tasks and powers as assigned by the Chief Justice of the Provincial People's Court.
