Number of Internal Inspections in the Operations of Market Management in 2020

To be specific, the number of internal inspections of law compliance in public service activities of the Market Management Force (hereinafter referred to as internal inspections) as stipulated in Article 8 of Circular 20/2019/TT-BCT is as follows:

- Periodic internal inspections shall not exceed one inspection per year for each Department and equivalent; not exceed two inspections per year for each Market Management Team and equivalent;- Unexpected internal inspections shall have no limit on the number of inspections for any official, Market Management Agency.

The duration of directly conducting a periodic internal inspection at the inspected location is stipulated in this Decree as follows:

- The General Department's internal inspection shall not exceed 15 working days; in complex cases, in remote areas, mountainous areas, islands, or places with difficult travel conditions, the inspection time may be extended but not exceed 5 additional working days;- The Department's internal inspection shall not exceed 10 working days; in complex cases, in remote areas, mountainous areas, islands, or places with difficult travel conditions, the inspection time may be extended but not exceed 5 additional working days.

Additionally, the duration of directly conducting an unexpected internal inspection at the inspected location is as follows:

- Internal inspections as stipulated in Point a, Point b, Clause 2, Article 5 of this Circular shall be conducted according to Clause 2 of this Article;- Quick inspection shall not exceed 2 working hours; in case an official is found to be committing a violation or has just finished but has not yet erased the evidence, it may be extended but not exceed 2 working days.

The duration of directly conducting is counted from the date of announcing the internal inspection decision to the date of completing the direct internal inspection at the inspected location. The extension of the duration for directly conducting an internal inspection shall be decided in writing by the person making the inspection decision, in the case of a quick inspection, it can be decided by official email (email).
